Brasen James, Men's Basketball Defensive

Georgia Gwinnett College junior Brasen James was named the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week on December 15, 2025.

James had three steals and limited his opposing matchup to six points, 16 points below the player’s average. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies’ guard scored 14 points in the victory.

The Evans, Georgia, native has started all 13 games for the No. 25-ranked team, averaging 7.3 points and recording nine steals for the season.
