Tristan Kuska, Men's Basketball Defensive

Carolina University (North Carolina) freshman Tristan Kuska was named the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week on January 5, 2026.

Kuska averaged 14 points and 6.5 rebounds while helping the Bruins to allow an average of 75.5 points in both games of the new year. The Braunschweig, Germany, forward guarded opposing players at several positions on the court. He helped the team lower its defensive average by seven points per game prior to the holiday break. Kuska had 15 points and seven rebounds in a 76-73 loss to Columbia College (South Carolina) last Wednesday.
