Matthew Lee, Baseball Hitter

Georgia Gwinnett College senior Matthew Lee was named the Continental Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week on February 10, 2025.

Lee batted .692 behind nine hits in 13 at-bats, with eight runs batted in, as the Grizzlies started the new season with a 5-1 record. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana, native registered multiple hits in three of the four games he has appeared behind the plate in this season.

Lee went 4-for-5 with a double and a RBI during GGC’s 7-2 win against Warner University (Florida) last Saturday. Earlier, the senior had a 3-for-3 hitting performance, including a home run and three RBI, to conclude the team’s season-opening weekend against Huntington University (Indiana) on February 1.
