Continental Athletic Conference Named Five-Star Conference in NAIA’s Champions of Character Program

The Continental Athletic Conference has earned Champions of Character Five-Star recognition from the NAIA national office for the 2024-25 athletic year – one of 21 conferences nationwide achieving such status.

The NAIA's Champions of Character program annually honors conferences for having at least 60% of their schools named Five-Star Institution Award winners at either the gold, silver or bronze levels of distinction. The conference also must have a Champions of Character committee and a Conduct in Competition Oversight committee.

Conference members were reviewed for 2024-25 in areas of character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. Schools scoring a minimum of 60 out of 100 points received Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Awards.

CAC member schools earning gold-level status were Florida College, Florida National University, Haskell Indian Nations University (Kansas), and Northern New Mexico College.

Silver-level schools were Arkansas Baptist College, Carolina University (North Carolina), Georgia Gwinnett College, Spartanburg Methodist College (South Carolina), and Washington Adventist University (Maryland).

Fisher College (Massachusetts) was a bronze-level institution.
